I doubt anything much will be done. That twit of an actress that disfigured Native American paintings on the rock in Utah was it?
She got a $1000 fine. Big f'ing deal. Chump change. She will likely laugh it off after all the false apologies.
"Authorities" seem to be scared witless to impose a heavy penalty(assuming one exists) for this sort of behavior. Why I have no clue.
It would help imo if Congress made vandalism like this a felony. And then prosecuting these a-holes to the full extent of the law.
Maybe a few tough prosecutions would get the attention of these jerks if the had felonies on their record.
But I doubt it.

Now folks have started an online petition to pull their corporate sponsorship at change.org, here is the link if you want to sign it...

I think I need to get some corporate sponsors lined up for my next vacation.

I had already sent emails to some of the sponsors but have yet to get a response. Can't wait to see the outcome of this.

Believe it or not, I just received a response from Budweiser. They thanked me for my concern and said they would pass it on to the "appropriate team." Hope the online petition does some good.

I hate these guys more and more every day.

This is a great article that summarizes the kind of disrespectful, ignorant (insert several expletive's) these guys really are...

Sadly it seems to be continuing....

I just fear so much that the upswing in bad choices will ruin it for those of us that know how to act in nature.

At least the tolerance of the wildlife is going down.

Stupidity kills, but not quick enough.

I sent a link to that article to the "High On Life" group. I only hope it went thru. Why do these people think all the warning signs are for everyone except them? Thanks for the article link. Also, has anyone heard any updates on the corporate sponsors for High on Life? Hoping they have pulled funding.

Lots of people eating from that big "Bowl of Stupid" this year. I'm glad to see someone in authority calling it like it is:

“It’s sort of dumb, if I could be so blunt, to walk off the boardwalks not knowing what you’re doing,” said Kenneth Sims, a University of Wyoming geology professor and member of the Yellowstone Volcano Observatory.
“They’re scofflaws essentially, who look around and then head off the boardwalk,” he added.

PS
Those guys from Canada won't be extradited, but if they cross the border in to the USA they could be charged then. Good riddance.
