Glacier National Park Chat

The Glacier's Edge Cafe is located across the street from Thronsons in Babb. I don't ever remember reading about it on the chat board before, but somehow came across a review on TripAdvisor. We ended up eating there 3 times during our recent trip to GNP, and I can't even tell you how much we enjoyed it. The pancakes and french toast were among the best we have ever had. The waitstaff were extremely friendly and we were able to access Verizon 3G service. This place was quite a find, especially after the awful breakfasts we had at Swiftcurrent. I mean come on, how do you screw up scrambled eggs and pancakes?!?!?

I second that. Breakfast was perfect. Giant pancakes. Lunch the next day was equally good.

The waitress was very nice and great service.

We had dinner (burgers) at Glacier's Edge Cafe on Aug. 06. They were delicious--have heard the burritos are excellent, too. The cafe is open from
7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. A great place to stop.

This season, their hours are 7am-3pm. Pretty disappointed that they weren't open for dinner, but it all worked out - we finished Iceberg so early, we were able to stop for a meal when we were transferring from MG to Rising Sun.

I’m still a fan of Glacier’s Edge Cafe. Open 7a-3p again this year. Had a great breakfast burrito and giant mug of good coffee.

The woman in charge that morning was complaining of the weird season caused by the frequent closure of the Many Glacier area - too many people choosing to hang out there to wait for it to reopen. So I guess it can get crowded some days.
