What's Your Favorite Tent?

Post by Perry R »

Have a favorite tent? My site sponsors a contest every month for the best tent review. Write the best one and you can win $10 to Amazon.com

If you mention Glacier Park Chat.com and put a link to them in the review and win, the prize will be $20.

Any takers?

After last year, my favorite tent would be one that doesn't leak.

I'm with you there ND. One that doesn't blow away in the wind, is warm when it's cold, is cool when it's warm, and doesn't weigh anything would be nice too!

Can't do a big write up but for:

2 who like non claustrophobic space
Plenty of gear room
Excellent 3.5 season weather stability
Well under 6 lbs all in

Check out the Mountain Hardwear SkyLedge 3.
If your patient you can find it at 300 or under.
I'd send my grandmother out with it

i like the rei quarterdome for weight, space, and low cost at about $150. a good three season w/ a big rainfly, two big doors, good gear storage outside the doors under the fly.

That is what I am using. I only used once for a few nights in Baxter in Maine. We didn't backpack so didn't test the weight or set down/take up too muhc. But still, was a good tent, and good looking. Its my second tent, both REI. Pleased so far.
