North Circle Water Crossings

Post by Freddy »

Question, My wife an I will be hiking the north circle in a couple of weeks and want to know if we will need to get wet feet at any water crossings?

Thanks in advance for your insight.

It's been several years since I did that one, but I believe the only significant crossing is the Cosely Lake outlet. At the present time the trail status report shows 2.5 feet of water. Depending on the precip that may change in a few weeks. If you have river shoes it should be no problem. I use a cheap pair I got from the Livingston Mercantile. You will have a wonderful trip. So far, it is the best one I've had in Glacier.
