Glacier Park Chat
My vehicle was side swiped today by an RV in the parking lot of the St Mary Supermarket.
If something similar happens to you (hopefully not) and you need a vehicle accident report for insurance purposes, you will need to call the Glacier County Sheriffs office (+1-406-873-2711, option 3 when you get the recording), and they will contact the Montana Highway Patrol.
My experience is that the highway patrol officer called me after about an hour’s wait, and he was all the way in Choteau. He then emailed me an accident report to fill out and then email back to him for filing. The St Mary hotel staff were more than accommodating when I asked them if I could forward the email containing the report to print off for me.
Anyway, all is fine now but I thought I would share this info as there was some confusion as to who I should contact. I was first given the number for Blackfeet Dispatch and they directed me to the Glacier County Sheriff’s Office.
