Reservations opened for Sperry and Granite Park Chalet yesterday. Just wondering how it has been going and if any chatters were successful in getting a reservation.

Good luck to all Chatters who applied!

Lyman, Check 2020 Trip Dates, there has been some discussion there under "thinking out loud".

I missed that discussion. Thanks for pointing it out. I am glad at least a couple people have got confirmations so hopefully they will give us a report on the new Sperry (and the old Granite Park).

Perhaps I missed it last year but I see that the workshops at Granite Park include an Ahern Pass program. I don't think that has been offered before.

I was pretty excited when I saw the email until I opened it and looked :(
I called and left a phone message as well as emailed "Kathie" explaining the "problem" 8)
I guess I somehow double tapped the "one" key. Who knows?
Now I may wind up with nothing.
sigh..........
.

Oh Pete, just when I thought you were taking ten of your friends (chatters) along with you! :D Seriously, glad it worked out for you.

Thanks Barb :)
Ya think I could actually find 10 people from the chat to go with ME ??? 8)
Yesterday was gorgeous day for pics and/or skiing.
However, I had to get a troublesome, PAINful molar extracted. The doc doesn't want me to exert myself for a few days to avoid opening the clot and getting a dry socket.
So maybe I'll get out for some pics over the weekend. LOTs of snow now.

PS

Yes it was amazing that they could accommodate a group of 11 people for 3 nights in two rooms.
I'm sure the reason was the 6 week window I gave them.
The same logic will apply for those of you applying for backcountry permits.

Whew, glad that worked out for you, Pete! Looking forward to pictures from your stay.

Like I mentioned in my other thread, I got 2 nights at Sperry mid-August.

I was 734th after finally getting through within about 5 minutes of official opening...Needless to say, I will not be staying at Sperry this summer. BUT, there are many summers to come and I'm sure the folks who are able to stay for this first season in the new structure will have a marvelous visit.
