Three Sisters and a Feisty Redhead in the Bob

Even though Glacier is the focal point, the Flathead and the surrounding area presents boundless activities, talk about it here.

Most people will never get back in there. During the 7 day trip we saw two trail workers on our first day and two backpackers on our second day. After that, we saw no other person on or off the trails. That's what I like about the Bob!

I have a lot of respect for trips like this and I bow to a master. I also looked through another trip and find it interesting when you have to change plans on the fly.

Ralph. I enjoyed the report of this trip. Looks like a very nice hike. Also reviewed some of the other excursions you've had on your choteaucam website - don't know what to say other than I am jealous.

The Bob has a great many treasures waiting to e explored. My wife and I just completed an 8 day trip to the Chinese Wall. We had a fantastic time! Get out there and enjoy it!

Hey Ralph -

I'm planning several nights in the Bob at the end of August, and we're planning for our second night above Sock Lake along the Divide. Might hike towards Hahn Peak and camp somewhere at the base of the mountain. I understand the North Wall has some very steep sections - were there multiple route possibilities from Sock Lake? I came across a photo last night that showed a fantastic access gully right above the lake... wondering if you could help shed a little light on the area. Thanks as always!

Access to the wall above Sock Lake is a good question for Summit Post.

Ralph,

Anxiously awaiting your trip report to the Chinese Wall!!! I do a regular visit of ChoteauCam to see the latest.

I just admire what you and your family are able to accomplish/enjoy out there in The Bob so much! I hope to oneday be a more knowledgable backpacker to travel in this more remote wilderness.

The full length TR of this on your website was really special, one of THE BEST!!

Nancy and I returned from the Bob just in time for the arrival from Washington DC of our daughter, son in law, and grandson. We all spent the last 12 days camping at Two medicine and enjoying a stay at the Many Glacier Hotel. Another great trip to Glacier. I'll try to get my Chinese Wall trip on the ChoteauCam soon.
