Even though Glacier is the focal point, the Flathead and the surrounding area presents boundless activities, talk about it here.

Hockaday Museum of Art

Post by July Guy »

Is worth the trip to Kalispell. Just returned from there- one of the current Exhibits is "Montana Painters Alliance" : "Experience the grandeur of GNP through the breathtaking works of members of the Montana Painters Alliance who participated in the group's 2005 Fall paint out in GNP..." This goes through the 28th.

Also the Permanent Collection is always worth the trip: "The Museum's Crown of the Continent: Glacier National Park Permanent Exhibition focuses on the past and present painters, photographers, sculptors, authors, and collectibles of GNP and its past connection to the Great Northern Railway. This exhibition always features the rich art history of the Park..."

If you are having a down day or bad weather, it is at: 302 2nd Ave. East, Kalispell
