If this link doesn't work, it mentions possibly hiking Dragon's Tail

Word on social media from hikers in the area is that the Grinnell Glacier Overlook trail was closed yesterday due to search and recovery efforts.

I've been to the Grinnell Overlook a number of times. I've also climbed well up into the rocks on either side of the overlook.
How do you fall from the overlook unless you're doing something stupid...
OR doing something that you shouldn't do because you don't have the experience required to do it?
Yes, I know that "accidents happen".
However most accidents of this nature happen because people do things that they know well that they shouldn't.
I hope the park service will release the details of this death. It may help prevent someone else from dying.

I took this 5 image pano after scrambling to a point about 250feet above and south of the Grinnell Glacier overlook.

It could be one of those accidents where she tried to take a selfie and accidentally backed off a cliff. If you're not super careful in cliffy areas that is something that can easily happen.

I saw some speculation in the media yesterday that indicated that it could have happened off the Highline Trail or around the Dragon's Tail. Those are of course two very separate places.

Her body has now been recovered and we have confirmation that the accident took place at the Grinnell Glacier Overlook:

There was a helicopter over me as I was hiking the Highline Trail north of Granite Park on Sep 2nd. It was low (just above the peaks or lower), so it appeared to be a search helicopter, but at the time, I didn't know the story.

The 7th (as I recall) was a fairly calm day, and (from MG campground) I heard a chopper fly roughly between Allen and Siyeh. I only recall hearing it once, but again, I didn't know why.
