Carthew-Alderson Traverse question

Post by Sue Z »

Just read that Canada might open the border in August - woot!

The Carthew-Alderson Traverse is at the top of my dwindling bucket list.

Question: If my hiking group (3 people) takes two cars up there, is it difficult to find parking at either end of the hike?

Any other important tips would be very much appreciated as well!

Thanks in advance.

There is ample parking at Cameron Lake if you arrive early. And since the trail ends right at the townsite, there are plenty of places to park. I think you’ll be fine!

Thanks, teapot! I saw your other post about the border - I’ll try to lower my expectations of being able to zip across for a day hike.

It will sure put a damper on my usual custom of popping down for a quick night or two.
