Thanks! Glacier does look nice in the winter.

Thanks for the winter North Fork pictures. It looks like Saturday was a nice day.
You're welcome Bill. It was nice but COLD, at least for me, but maybe not considering recent temps in MN
I especially like the pano looking north from the bridge at Polebridge.
I liked that one two. I couldn't get that image in one shot, so I did a two image pano. I liked the sky and how the light(ish) trees and river converge in the background
And I think the first barn picture shows a lot of character.
Like you, I preferred the view of the barn in the first photo...except the red "No Trespassing" sign annoyed me.
So I took the second image with the tree stump blocking the sign. Didn't really work very well though.
I put it up anyway.
Good to hear that your eye is doing well.
Yeah, my right eye is coming along really well. If I close my left eye, everything from 24" and out is crystal clear.
Already ditched my glasses. Amazing!
If the left one comes out this good, I'll be in "Fat City"!

No good reason Carol. Lazy I guess and a bit frustrated with this chat and the lack of participation.Carol Lynn wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 9:10 am
Pete - Just wondering if there's a reason you're not starting a 2021 "Snaps" thread? I'm trying to get past all things 2020
Bob, the anecdote about seeing the blind guy on the Scenic Point trail literally brought tears to my eyes as it immediately reminded me of two things:res wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 6:57 pm Pete, ALways enjoy your pictures and look forward to seeing more.. The photo I got from you is beautiful and reminds me of the wonderful trip I had with my daughter. It is the first thing I see when I walk into the house.
Thank you for that compliment Bob. Bringing back a memory like that means a lot to me.
Of the who knows how pictures I have snapped in my trips to Glacier, one I like the best was taken on Scenic Point trail. It is looking down the trail at three men about 150 yards or so from the top. One of them was totally blind. I am still in awe of that person and his courage.
Just a cold winters day rant. I forgot it can be -14 in Illinois.
LOL Yeah, the folks in the midwest, especially Texas, have been getting hammered. It's warmed up here! 32F and light snow at the moment. Lost power in my neighborhood for about 3 hours this afternoon. No big deal. Temp in my apt. only dropped 1 degree!! I made coffee for my French press with my pocket rocket, grinding beans by hand
Bob
As far as Glacier is concerned you're the only one on the scene. I don't know how many people even view this chat anymore. The big social media platforms have swallowed up small forums like this. As for myself, I check in quite a bit. The most noteworthy thing going on in my world is it's been cold. Nothing interesting about that. I don't take pictures when it's 15-20 below. No good reason Carol. Lazy I guess and a bit frustrated with this chat and the lack of participation.
While I'm certainly grateful for the members who support me here, it's possible I may find another venue for posting photos.
What that might be I have no clue at the moment. Bummer I know, but it is what it is.
