Have you visited another National Park, you would like to share, although most are Glacier Fanatics, we love to visit any National Park, let us know about your experience here!
I read about a goat upending a tent at a backcountry site at Glacier recently, supposedly to get at some salt (pee) underneath. Can't remember if it was posted here or elsewhere.
Hope they don't turn into a big problem at Glacier - they've been the highlight of my trips.
I have the impression that goats are more of a problem in Olympic because there are few natural salt sources there so they are attracted to human salt. My impression is that in Glacier (and hopefully in North Cascades) there are more natural salt licks so the goats are less dependent on humans.
That being said the goats at Olympic appear to have thrived and increased quite well despite having fewer natural sources of salt.
The goats in Glacier are a great attraction and hopefully they will not become a major nuisance.
