Real snow on the webcams!

Post by Selkie »

And all are showing snow on the ground and the trees! :D

This is utterly thrilling!

Mt Washington and the higher summits in New Hampshire are under full winter conditions. Time to call Southwest, pack my blaze orange hat and zero-degree sleeping bag.

Yep, snow on the ground albeit very little snow here in Whitefish and the valley. How "thrilling" it is depends on your perspective.
If you are inside by a nice fire looking out at the snow, it's great.
However, if you have to go outside and work, not so much.
It's -2F here in WF this morning as I type before heading out to work. Not much wind yet. That comes this afternoon and evening.
Tomorrow's forecast is for -7F and wind chills near -30F.
So Saturday will be a nice day to ride out to the Mercantile for a cinnamon bun.
Right?

Could be more "real snow" coming. Been snowing lightly here in WF since this late this afternoon. Looks like about 2" outside my window at near midnight.

Here's what the weather guessers are saying for the West Glacier area as of this afternoon, the 24th.
We'll see how much is snow and how much ends up as rain.
I'm hoping for snow. Much prettier and it's time for some snowshoeing exercise.
But then I'm not looking forward to shoveling wet snow...not the kind of exercise I want 8)
