Outstanding images! I must plead ignorance. Is that second shot a bear or wolverine or what? Interesting face.

Thanks all...It will be strange as this month ends it will be the first month in over five years that I have not spent time in Yellowstone, but I have had a blast on this trip and still have about two weeks left to explore.

I have taken 19,000 photos on this trip, so I'll be editing for a long time, but I did manage to get a few more in trip teasers online...check them out if you like bears and whales.

p.s. the shot in question is a very interesting looking black bear...I wish it was a wolverine :)

19,000 images? And my friends think I shoot a lot when I do one-tenth of that!

Image
Here is a shot of me from the last day of my trip, hiking along Logan Pass at sunrise in Glacier National Park. Captured with a Canon 5D III and 17-40/4.0L in manual mode at ISO100, f/16, and 1/8th of a second. The camera was mounted on a Gitzo 3540XLS and Arca-Swiss ballhead, an intervalometer cable release was used and the image is the result of an in camera high dynamic range merge.

I'm feeling a bit guilty that I am nowhere near being finished with the editing process from the two month trip, so I added this shot and one more teaser to the gallery:

p.s. I am back to making YNP trips on September 15 (after taking almost three months off)
:)

p.p.s. I ended up with over 27,000 photographs.
