Indian options

Post by Garykeif »

I have been searching for some Indian restaurants and was not able to find any in either the Browning area or Whitefish. Does anyone know of any near the park?I am very flexible when it comes to food choices but my two traveling companions and I only agree on one option and that is Indian. I love Thai food as well so I'll throw that it as a question as well.

My dates are Sept. 5 to the 15th. Traveling south from Calgary via Philadelphia.

Thanks in advance,

Gary

Funny....I just recently read a review on Trip advisor about a restaurant in Columbia Falls that sounded intriguing. I think it was called Tea Kettle or something like that.

I think Calgary will be your best bet for Indian food, that is if you mean south Asia Indian.

Calgary????
Huh?
Long way from CFalls.
Ive seen the place many times driving by. Its right on the "main drag" in CFalls.

I talked with two gals I've known for years. They weren't impressed with The Tea Kettle. It wasn't bad. Just average for the price.
It's "Asian Food", a mix of Asian culture food. Some "Indian" dishes like curry, but not an "Indian" cuisine place.

Many local folks I have talked with like Tien's Place in CFalls for Asian/Oriental cuisine. Me too.
It's right on US 2 on the left, just before you go down the hill to Nucleus Ave. Across the street is Laurie's Subs.

Speaking of which...
It "looks like" a Subway (and it was at one time I believe) but it is not.
Subway type sandwiches but MUCH better sandwiches than Subway imo.
They slice their meat and cheese while you watch. No "pre-portioned" mystery meat portions. Much fresher stuff from what I see. Nice place, friendly staff and a good stop on the way to the park from the Airport.

And last, I would take Trip Advisor's word with a grain of salt. 8)

We LOVE Laurie's Deli! They have really good gyros, too.

We don't have any actual Indian restaurants in the valley, at least I have never seen one in the 20 plus years I have lived here.
