Not sure if this makes any difference to those of us who visit the Park but here it is:

Interesting story, Thanks for posting!
I guess you're right, for the most part it doesn't really matter to us consumers, what the company is named, but I hate to see the old names going away.
Where I grew up in Eureka, the railroad tracks crossed through our ranch, and we watched the trains a lot. I remember the old Orange and Black Great Northern engines and cars with the old Billy Goat logo... I'm still bitter about the name change to Burlington Northern! So needless to say I don't like "Pursuit", but I suppose I'll get over it!! :) :) :)

I'm with you about that name change. I also liked the GPI logo. Maybe we former employees are overly sensitive.

Pursuit sounds like a name of a chemical to kill weeds in a garden.

Its still, and will always be "Big Mountain", regardless what the corporate schmucks think or say... And if I remember right, it is actually officially "Big Mountain at Whitefish Mountain Resort" or something dumb like that??

But I'm not bitter!! :) :)

I do make a point whenever I'm on the phone or exchanging emails with any mountain employee's in Whitefish to be sure and always call it Big Mountain!!
