Those are great points. However you overlooked one thing - Perhaps it is a front for a laundromat for clothes in addition to money.

I guess the proposal could have been worse: He could have been making a bid for the Sperry rebuild....

What would East Glacier be without a laundromat....East Glacier I guess.

More articles about it are linked here:

What no one seems to be talking about is how this guy raised the $25 million he says this 50- or 100-room hotel (size seems to depend on which source you look at) will cost. Given that his company, Bigfoot Project Investments (BGFT) has a total market capitalization of just a little more than $700,000 (no, I haven't dropped any zeros), it sounds like quite a stretch to me...I sure wouldn't want to be holding the bonds on that one!

But, in a FOX News interview Mr. Biscardi says this is going to be "THE most phenomenal, the most GRANDIOSO Bigfoot museum in the ENTIRE WORLD..."
http://www.abcfoxmontana.com/video?clip ... start=true

And why WOULDN'T we believe a man who himself has seen Bigfoot at least SIX times?! (And who owns 58% of the stock of this publicly traded, sub-penny-stock company...)

So, for the...er...adventurous among you, consider that BGFT stock currently trades for a mere .00342/share. So, why not skip that Starbucks tomorrow and buy yourself a thousand shares or so. Who knows? If it's NOT a hoax, this COULD be your chance to get in on the ground floor of the NEXT BIG THING!

A recent article: http://missoulian.com/news/local/bigfoo ... b1067.html

If all goes as planned, construction will start this spring and the opening of the motel will be May 2019.

Where are the "customers" going to come from in the dead of winter?
East Glacier is "the little end of nothing whittled down to a point".
And who exactly is going to finance this project?
P T Barnum is probably chuckling in his grave.

"Bigfoot Projects Investments Chief Financial Officer Sara Reynolds said the final financial pieces of the project are coming together."
For those of you who wisely eschewed getting in on the "ground floor" of this project...the time is now ripe to invest in it from the (bargain) basement!
Trading in BGFT closed today at a mere $0.0006 per share...and yup, all those zeros ARE on the left side of that six.

Total market capitalization is less than $180K.

Hurry to get in on this deal while you still can!

Ha! That's too funny.
$.0006 a share and 180K in market cap.
I'd love to see the list of the current shareholders.

Still, I can't wait to see who puts up the actual "cash" to build this project.
Talk is cheap. Money talks; BS walks.
And nobody has stepped up yet to say just how they are going to convince people to come to this "attraction" during the dead of winter.

I still believe that if this project goes forward, there will be a casino included. 8)

Maybe they hope to follow the same pattern as the lodges which make all their money in the summer and then close during the winter. Personally, I think a 5 or 7 story building in East Glacier would look wildly out of place compared to rest of the town. But think of the size of the laundromat they might have!

I think they are still going to be financially challenged even if they do put a casino in. In the reality of things in Montana especially in the winter, there is already a large casino not that far from there.

If they do get off the ground, I hope they at least stick with the theme that has been established for over 100 years now on style.

I still have strong doubt about how this will turn out.

Yes, there is already a large casino in Browning. And since it's a Native American casino it has far more generous gambling limits.
A casino, IF it were of this project would be far more limited in what people can bet with considerably smaller jackpots, etc. Montana law limits non NA casinos to a maximum $2.00 and jackpots to $800.00. Anyone who believes that people will travel to East Glacier to place a 2 dollar bet is fantasizing.

A huge "modern" building would look strange in East Glacier. And there is no way they can finance that operation by closing, or scaling down operations 6+ months out the year. An operation that size would have way too much overhead to do that.

I still have strong doubt about how this will turn out.[

me too.

Seven stories? That could blot out the view for most of the town! Hope they have some building height restrictions.

I see that they want to change the character of East Glacier. I hope they fail to do so.

Whattttt? I'm totally shocked that deal fell through
/sarc 8)

Who'd a thought? LOL

From the article above..
According to a report filed to U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Dec. 19, Bigfork Project Investments ended October 2017 with $292 in cash and uncertainty about its future.
And so breaking out my HP10b financial calculator.... 8)
A market cap of $180k and a share price of $.0006/share would indicate about 300,000,000 shares floating around out there?
So combined with a bank balance of $292.00 .....LOL

Is anyone surprised to see this following paragraph from the article?
“There is significant uncertainty projecting future profitability due to our history of losses and lack of revenues,” the company’s report stated. “In our current state we have no recurring or guaranteed source of revenues and cannot predict when, if ever, we will become profitable. There is significant uncertainty projecting future profitability due to our minimal operating history and lack of guaranteed ongoing revenue streams.”

No Duh! Really?
"Due Diligence" finally raised its ugly head?
8)

Even if they built the hotel in a rustic, turn of the century(1899-1900) style, it'd still look really odd.
For the benefit of those unfamiliar with the terrain around East Glacier.
A seven story building would ruin the view for those driving in from the east.
There would be this ugly "monolith", visible for miles across the Great Plains, against the beauty of "The Crown of the Continent".

Yeah, a seven story building in that location would look really weird imo.
I don't know about zoning over there.
Doesn't matter really. Zoning can change overnight---if the votes are there.

I'm still curious about the rationale for building this huge hotel in a remote area like East Glacier.
There's just no reason for a "tourist" to come and stay there in the dead of winter. Or is there?

Maybe there will be a Native American casino added to the deal to compete, or maybe compliment the NA casino in Browning.
The higher gaming limits would then help this deal make more sense. Get the Canadian business. Bus trips from all over MT.
Lots of possibilities when you get enough money involved. But, personally...

I just don't see "investors" putting up millions for a big hotel in the middle of nowhere without a much bigger revenue stream.
But we'll see :)
