Hey Jason:
Nice pics. Thanks for putting them up. :)
I'm glad you got a couple good days in while you were here.
I always enjoy doing the Siyeh pass hike, especially with good company like you, Rich and Cindy.

I'm sure you're aware that things are looking pretty grim for Glacier National Park this year.
Take care. I hope your pub is doing well in spite of all this covid-19 crap.
If you're ever out this way again, let me know. Same if friends of yours visit! :)

cheers
pete

Jason, here are some "snaps" I took on that hike.
These are down sized for posting here. I can send you the full size if you like.

You(middle) Crossing Siyeh Creek, with Cindi in the lead and her husband Rich trailing, on the way to the Siyeh Pass via what some of us call "the hated switchbacks" 8)
Image

Here you are looking down the Boulder Creek drainage from the highest point on the Siyeh pass trail~8100ft.
This is the only place you can see Boulder Creek drainage from a maintained trail.
Image

Taking a break coming down from the pass in the background(sort of notch at top right). The peak at top center is Matahpi.
This Baring Creek drainage is one of the most beautiful in the park imo. The dead trees in the in the bottom of the frame burned during the Reynolds Fire in 2015.

If you recall, we timed our hike well, finishing just as the shuttle bus arrive at Sunrift Gorge!

ha great pics mine came out a bit big on the site not used to flickr . I am lucky I traveled last year alright :) great weather for start of visit to glacier then a cold front came in , and the temps and weather went south  .

The pub has been closed since 15th march  we didn't even get paddy's day out of it . Government are lifting restrictions for pubs Aug 12 . Can't even go for a decent hike as we are in a 5km lockdown . I am stomping up and down hill in local park which has beautiful views.

Thanks again for the invite back and defo will if I am in that neck of the woods again , planning on the Sierrras next year for some CA sun love the rock formations there .

Will put up pics of Grinnell Glacier hike later , which was unreal possibly one of my favorite hikes ever . 8)
