Reynolds creek fire

Sorry but Just heard there is a fire at/near lunch creek. Another near isaac Walton. Sunroad is closed east of Logan.

Any update on this. We plan on arriving GNP Thursday afternoon and going over Logan Pass.

So this is east of siyeh bend. Near Jackson overlook?

I'm currently in Many Glacier. There is a fire in the St. Mary area, currently about 100 acres in size according to the Ranger. Rising Sun (where we stayed last night) has been evacuated and the Sun Road is closed from Logan Pass to St. Mary. We saw the smoke on our drive back from Two Med. It was amazing how large the plumes grew while we ate at Two Sisters. Will post photos when I get home. May cut this trip short since I'll be back in two weeks.

Six miles east of Logan Pass is near the Sunrift Gorge area by my estimation.
This is really sad news for everyone.

I just made reservations at Johnson's for the weekend.
Still hoping to do Piegan summit with ND and his buds.

This looks ugly...could be a week or weeks until things settle back down to normal opeating in the Park...I hope that I'm wrong...

Ugghhhh...

I feel bad for those who are out there now or heading out shortly....

The weather forecast isn't encouraging either...

I've hiked all around there but have never heard of grizzly point. Has there been an incident map posted yet?
North or south of the Sunroad ?
