Chalet Rebuilding is reported to be nearly complete according to this article in the Flathead Beacon. Maybe someone who hiked in the area this summer can share their observations.

They were saying on the news today, they expect their reservation system to be up and running in January for next season, it is nice to hear they got it done in under scheduled time.

Thanks for sharing the photo link, Brindledog. The woodwork is amazing, and I can’t wait to see it in person.

Sperry Chalet reservations will be one hot ticket this summer.

How rewarding it must have been to work on this project! I like the wood, as well. I'm so glad they were able to salvage the exterior and from what I could see, their updates are true to the original the spirit of the chalet. I hope they stashed a time capsule in the walls somewhere.

Brindledog,

Thanks very much for posting that great photo link. Great to see all of those photos.

I hope the hallway lighting on the second story has improved. It was pretty dark in the old chalet and I walked into the wrong room once because I couldn't see the door to our room.

Lyman,
Someone, somewhere is saying, "I hope the lighting on the 2nd floor is better because one year, this complete stranger came in my room because he couldn't see his door!" :D
