2018 trip Logan to Swiftcurrent

Another great hike. This was the third time I have done this hike and it was just as good as the first time. On a sad  note, this is probably my last trip to Glacier. My buddy and I are 69 now and it is getting more difficult to get ready for these hikes. If I lived close by and could get to th...

2018 trip Dragon's tail

We did Dragon's tail false summit as a rest day. The park is getting too popular. We parked at Siyeh bend and caught a shuttle. We had breakfast at Glacier's Edge Cafe. Food was really good and the quantity was huge. I could only eat about half of my pancakes. Unless you are a big eater, go with the...

2018 trip wildlife

Here is a recap of the wildlife we saw and a few other things. By the way the last picture is not from the Cattle Baron. It is from Famous Dave's BBQ in Kalispell. We are always real hungry when we leave the park

2018 trip

We had another good trip this year. Our group included myself (Jim), my buddy Tom, my son Chris and grandson Will. This was Will's first trip to Glacier and my sixth. We arrived on August 4th and spent the first night at Rising Sun cabins. Of course we had to get out and do something that fi...

Re: In the park last week

I was in the park last week also. There were 5 snowfields to cross to get to dragon's tail. That was by far the most we have ever encountered. I will try to get a report up when time permits. The only comment I have at this time is BOY there are a lot of people there. If you didn't get to Lo...

Pay shuttle from Swiftcurrent to St Mary

We want to do the highline from Logan to Swift current. We are staying at Swift current motor inn. Does anyone know what time we need to line up to feel good about our chances to make the first shuttle run?
Thanks

Re: Snow melt

We were there the middle of August 2017 There are actually 2 Lake Ann's. One on the north side of Mt Baker and one on the heather maple pass loop. I notice I have not posted a video on Heather Maple pass. If you are interested in that one let me know. Park Butte was a nice hike also. There was a sma...

Andy's tree grove

I never did hear if the trees were planted in honor of Andy. If I remember correctly, a significant amount was donated for this purpose.
Thanks
