Re: 2021 Random photos

A repost of a random video. Most of my videos have 25 views. This one was 250, so maybe you might enjoy it.

A little hike with a GoPro. Music by a friend that played at our wedding.

Re: Snow Moon Basin

I went up there this summer, but ran out of daylight. I made it through the little "climby" section and up some of the steep switchbacks, but stopped at the nice view of Sherburne before the rocky hike back to the lakes. I was also low on water. I ran into some guys from MG Hotel back ther...

Re: Bear Spray across the boarder

I was asked about bear spray when I crossed the boarder this summer. I won't comment on my answer. :D

Bear Spray across the boarder

As far as I know, bringing bear spray from Canada to the US is not problem. I thought it was a problem bringing it from the US to Canada because we were flagged but able to sign a form and pick it up later when we went back to the US. (This was a while ago and may have been pepper spray.) I saw this...

Thanks Tibber. That's a great view up there....a climber's view but a "walk up" instead of scrambling. Sorry the wind had a bite.

Re: Search Underway for Missing Hiker

Bad deal.

Interesting that the cause of death is under investigation, but maybe the ME simply had not done an examination. Without any details, my assumption would have been a fall.

Re: MOJ Camp closed

Earlier this year, it was a juvenile bear that was doing "property damage." (My term.) The bear was coming in and destroying tents. They put up some "decoy" tent and cameras, but no more destruction.

Re: NPS Survey- 2023 Public and Stakeholder Engagement

Here's a few of my comments: Comments: Topic Question 4: IF you have a reservation, you're fine. Otherwise, nothing has worked for me. It seems people make reservations for campsites, and when their plans change, they don't cancel the reservations. (It seems the cost is so low, it's not worth it to ...

Re: Bear Canister?

Yeah, I bought one for a trip in Wyoming, and when the rubber met the road, I couldn't fit everything in the pack, not even close, so I skipped the trip (and car camped) and returned the canister when I got home. I've even glad it's not taking up space in the basement.

Re: Fatal Bear Attack near West Yellowstone MT

Yellowstone bears are bad ass. I have a theory that Glacier bears see a lot of humans and (in general) are less viscous than Yellowstone bears where people don't step off the boardwalk. I've read a number of stories of attacks in Yellowstone, Cooke City, Beartooth Mts. This case may have been a moth...
