I'm not giving any crap here. I'm just curious what is an ultra marathon skier? Are we talking 4 hr, 6 hr, 60 k, 80K? I haven't heard the term.

Re: Two Weeks in Glacier. I8SumPie (That’s Dirty)

8/1/11 Best Sunrise You Ever Missed After drinking a few adult diuretics, I went to bed without any thought of getting up in the morning or shooting sunrise. I woke up to a sky that filled the tent with fire orange and I thought “Crap, I missed it.” Ten minutes later, Julie woke up and said, “Aren’t...

Re: Happy thoughts for those in the Park this weekend

As the local news was reporting on the fires in Northern MN (BWCA) this week, it was snowing. Not often we see that in Sep.

Thanks Tibber. I'm still learning Photoshop, so I'm playing with different pull down menus and laughing at some of the drastic stuff you can do. I'm pretty amazed at the things you can do with the raw conversion and the automatic lens correction. That's cool and new to me.

Re: Two Weeks in Glacier. I8SumPie (That’s Dirty)

7/31/11 I looked through some more images last night. We’ll push along this July TR before Todd gets his September TR posted. Bowman Man “Ok, what’d you want to do today?” I asked my blushing bride. “I’m open for anything, but if there was one hike you could pick to do, what would it be?” “I’d do th...

Re: Highline 090711

I looked at the trail out to the true summit and though it looked like a number of small (10-20 foot) climbs. When I head that you could hike around the right side to avoid the intial climb(s), I thought "That makes sense." Still, I don't think its a walk after that, and I remember pretty ...

Pocket, I like the reports...the informal wording makes me laugh. Regarding running out of water, on 7/6/07, Julie and I did a hike out to Granite Park. I bring up the date because I think it's the day of all time record heat in MT. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Western_North_American_heat_wave ...

Thanks Pocket, but that was more of a dead bush than a tree. More dead trees to come though.
