Wow! You are lucky to have any video at all from the 50's. Things had changed quite a bit by the 60's about bears. We were cautioned that bears were dangerous and to be careful around them. That really explains why the garbage was the major problem. I worked in Yellowstone NP in the '60s and they had a large dump there which was a great draw for bears. Also employees would ride out in their cars at night to the dump. They would sit in their cars with the lights on just to watch the bea...

Nice to see there is another option for camping and nice little cabins in that area. I'm going to send this info off to a friend who is looking for just that sort of thing. You eat well when you camp!

You would think that would work. However, there is no accounting for people who read signs and go on anyway. "We've driven so far, maybe this doesn't apply to me" sort of attitude. Could end up being a disappointment for people who didn't check ahead to see what the situation is. I guess w...
