Re: A First Timer's Trip, August 4-12

Hi Eileen I’m late to reading your trip report. We were in GNP in late July 2017. Your Sperry Chalet story is amazing! I appreciate your report. It is nice to hear that everyone got out safely. Too bad about the inconvenience with shuttles. We had a similar mishap at the beginning of our trip like t...

Hi McKee, I really enjoyed your report especially your pictures. You had some really clear days. I like the back country reports but although the pictures are tempting I will have to enjoy adventures like yours vicariously from the comfort of home. The cold looks pretty brutal. I liked the TSA water...

Re: Glacier 2018: The bear spray incident

Hi Jason I enjoyed your report and your pictures. I especially like the Milky Way shot. We were too exhausted from our daily adventures two years ago to look at the night sky. We plan to work that into our schedule for our upcoming trip in July 2019. I also appreciate you mentioning how customs work...

Re: GNP 2018 by Tibber

Hi Tibber I enjoyed your report. I especially like the details like which mountain is Bad Marriage. I’m a day hiker so I enjoy the back country reports for experiences I won’t have. It’s interesting how different wildflowers are bountiful in different years. When we were there in late July two years...

Great report. The pictures at Logan Pass were cool especially the sillouette. I liked the one at Prince of Wales hotel with the explanation of how you did it.
Thanks

Re: A bartender's guide to Glacier

Hi Jay I enjoyed your trip report. Good mixture of stories, hikes, photos and photo tips. I loved the people watching stories. The cocktails are a nice addition to your tale. I like the play on a hitchikers guide to the galaxy. It was very entertaining report. We had a 10 day trip in July 2017 and a...

Re: All the Short Hikes: June 2017

Great report! We liked Nell's. I think it was my husband's favorite restaurant of our trip. He had spaghetti and meatballs and two Moose Drool's after our Grinnel Glacier hike. It was crowded but we snagged two stools at the bar. I had the Turkey Reuben. We have found there is a hunger element that ...

 This video to Sperry Chalet is very inspiring to other reasonably fit, slightly overweight, middle-aged hikers!

My husband and I enjoyed watching it. Thanks for posting it, Teapot!

Re: 5 Days in Glacier

Link to an article in the Spokesman Review. I didn't see any mention of goats in this article unless I missed it. http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2017/mar/25/bears-bruises-and-rain-5-days-in-glacier-national-/ I laughed out loud at the descriptions about bears and bear safety. Good descriptions of...

Re: HockeyRef Hike

As the anticipation of our August trip continues to grow, and this trip will be our first time doing the HockeyRef Hike I am back once again reading Andy's description and thinking about him. There is no doubt that each and every one of us that hikes this trail will be talking about him and carryin...
