I don't know if this qualifies as new gear, but last year we were introduced to a product called deFUNKit. We all have those synthetic fabric shirts that even being diligent in washing, after 5 minutes of wearing it, it starts to smell. This stuff really works. Originally bought it on Amazon for $20...

We have a permit for REY > ELL > Chalet. He said the only way we were getting to Lake Ellen Wilson was from from the west. Gunsight campground may re-open but it would have to be accessed from the west also.
