Re: 2020 "Snaps" Around Glacier National Park

How will you communicate with your Ukraine friends? What language will you speak?
Just curious.

Re: 2020 "Snaps" Around Glacier National Park

I saw the raven link that you posted. And from what you said it sounds like it really is Bonnie and Clyde! And I believe that they make you happy... wonder where Clyde was hanging out all that time? Sounds like last time you saw Bonnie some other bird was trying to cut her out of the herd. (Or rathe...

Re: Rental Car Prices at FCA

We ran into this in mid July rental with Alamo. Arrived in the afternoon. Had to wait a little over an hour for our car. There was a guy returning a car just as we arrived and that was probably the car they gave us after then cleaned it (still wet on outside). We were happy to just be able to rent a...

Re: Eastside Restaurants

We tried to eat at Two Sisters a few days ago. It opens at 4 and closes at nine. Closed Thursdays. We arrived at 4:30. Lots of people already waiting. Our wait time was 45 minutes. Decided to fix dinner at our cabin instead. We had several good meals here in 2019 and will try again next year. Everyo...

Re: Eastside Restaurants

Thank you! We have a place to stay on the eastside and can cook there but really do enjoy eating out occasionally. The breakfast you described at Johnson's sounds wonderful! Will also try Two Sisters...got a really good dinner there in 2019. Cattle Baron disappointing in 2019. They said their "saw b...

Eastside Restaurants

Since we haven't been to Glacier in 2 years we've been wondering about restaurants on the eastside of the Park. Has anyone eaten at any of them this summer yet? I'm particularly wondering about Cattle Baron, Two Sisters, Johnson's Cafe, Park Cafe? That covers most of them. There is also the restaura...

Re: 2020 "Snaps" Around Glacier National Park

I saw your post about leaving home so early. Checked the webcam later and saw your truck (or one that looked like it) parked right up front. :D

You got some really nice bighorn photos! Pays to get up and out early.

Re: Night of the Grizzlies Video Clip

Wow! You are lucky to have any video at all from the 50's. Things had changed quite a bit by the 60's about bears. We were cautioned that bears were dangerous and to be careful around them. And not to feed them. Many people did, though, from their car windows. Also, I could see that you were very cl...

Re: Night of the Grizzlies Video Clip

That really explains why the garbage was the major problem. I worked in Yellowstone NP in the '60s and they had a large dump there which was a great draw for bears. Also employees would ride out in their cars at night to the dump. They would sit in their cars with the lights on just to watch the bea...

Re: 2020 "Snaps" Around Glacier National Park

Nice to see there is another option for camping and nice little cabins in that area. I'm going to send this info off to a friend who is looking for just that sort of thing. You eat well when you camp!
