The pictures not only help make the concept a little less scary, but seeing the radiant barrier inside also gave me an "aha!" moment about the importance of always using your insulated sleeping pad with the correct side facing up! (Duh.)

I did find a bag of trash in Glacier once that had a receipt from a park hotel in it, with the drivers license number and address in it of those who left it, I packed it up and I sent it back to them in Manitoba, I am sure they were surprised when they opened that box! I had actually been playing with the idea using mylar, but I hadn't thought about making sure that it won't trap water. Good point. Maybe I'll make a bottomless mylar bell-like thing over my dry sack. Allowing for a bit of air between it and the stuff sack will also help with keeping the stuff sack ...

My son and I did St Mary's to Two Medicine last year and stayed the first night at REF. From what I recall, Red Eagle Foot (REF), Atlantic Creek (ATL), and Morning Star Lake (MOR) all had bear poles for hanging food bags....
