My husband and I, on our first visit to GNP in 2007, attended a hike led by Ranger Doug Follett up to Avalanche Lake. We couldn't believe this 80+ aged fella and his vast knowledge of the park!! What a great article and what a great ambassador for GNP!!! Take care, Ranger Follett!!

What a cool video! If this happened the 20th, we had just been there, done that, on the 17th! However, we saw no wildlife at all other than mountain goats! How amazing to realize that, even though we didn't see anything, we were in the midst of such wildlife!!

We went up to Sperry via the Sperry Trail on 8/16. We hiked up to Sperry Glacier on 8/17. No problems getting to glacier.
