Years ago I worked in both SAR and EMS. There is a rule that you NEVER EVER endanger yourself in an attempt to save another life. Since this was a recovery versus a rescue, I am sure things slowed down quite a bit once they got there. Some members of SAR like the more difficult searches and rescues....
