I am so very sad about Sperry Chalet.

BTW, Kevin did post on the Sperry chalet site earlier that it is closed, perhaps for the season.

They changed it the second year Xanterra had the contract,so I believe this is year 2 of Nell's. I think it is better than the Italian gardens was, but that's not saying all that much. The breakfasts are solid. everything else hit or miss. It's not cheap, either. The map tables are very cool. http:/...

Once pulled up to the nice Glacier sign at the west enterance. Took a photo and snapped one for another group. The group we took a photo for had a few guys in it and one of them tossed a drink bottle on the side of the road as they were getting back to their car. Needless to say we had a little chat...

Pete--you forgot the sweet little mission church on the hill behind the gas station. For those of you who haven't seen it, it has a beautiful mural of Saint Mary's behind the altar.
