Sad News - David Parker has passed away

It is with great sadness that Dave Parker's wife, Debby, has asked me to notify the Chat Page users that Dave passed away last night. He, through this Chat Page, brought so many people together, and I personally, have so many amazing folks and wonderful friends in my world because of Dave and this P...

Re: Day hiking

I've only had "so-so" experiences at Many Glacier Hotel, at least with food and service. But you can't beat the view/ambiance so it's usually worth it. I am one of the chatters who LOVES the Cattle Baron...it's pricey but we split things and that helps and it's too much food otherwise. I ...

Re: Memorial Trees for Hockey Ref

This chat page has to be the best there is out there. Andy's family has been so overwhelmed with everyone's gener...

Re: Hockey Ref Update

Jen, I had the privilege of meeting your Mom and Dad several years ago, and my heart just breaks for her and you and your brother, and I will be holding you all close in prayer. As a pastor of mine once said, "No one gets out of this life alive.", and although we know that and faith tells ...

Re: A Special, Final Message

Ref...been prayin' for you for a quite a while, my friend, and that will not stop. As others have said...it ain't over, 'til He says it's over--and last I knew, He trumps any prognosis, treatments, doctors, etc., so continue to stand strong. IF He sees fit to call you at this time to the next chapte...

Can't go wrong with any of them.
Especially as far as scenic views, I whole-heartedly concur!
"Ditto!" to the above!

(I would also add Alderson/Carthew in Waterton as another option, if you're so inclined...)

Re: anyone have a Bunion surgery?

I also know of someone who had foot surgery, but am not sure exactly what kind. Check with them and it WAS bunion surgery (bunionectomy she said...and she's a nurse). She was operated on last January...went back to work in March...but said she wasn't really able to truly HIKE until April/May. She s...

Re: anyone have a Bunion surgery?

Dang...if it was meniscus surgery, like calicotraveler, I'd put you in touch with my friend who recently had two. But bunions....hmmmm....I believe my sister's mother in law had 2 bunion surgeries...one was horrible, (but I believe there was an infection involved), the other was ok - but I don't rem...
